Dog Days Rising and In Nomine Patris

Night two of ‘The New Write Nights‘ and Novus are delighted to bring you two brand new plays from young writers based in Bedfordshire!

Dog Days Rising, presented by Josh Kelly, is a two man play looking at how far human beings will go to get what they need, even if they don’t know what that is. Two men are interrogating a woman. They don’t know why they are doing this, who she is or what she knows; yet they do it.

In Nomine Patris, presented by David Green, follows a conversation between a sixteen year old girl, Joanna, and her Catholic priest, Father Conner Harrip, a young man although aging and jading very rapidly. Joanna has come to attend confession, and she has rather a big one to make….

This night encapsulates what ‘The New Write Nights’ are all about. An opportunity for an audience to experience new work while new writes get the chance to show and test their practices.

Tickets for Wednesday night are available at The Place website or can be brought on the door (Performance 28th of November, 7.30pm)
